We are Kevin and Allison Carlsen, creators and co-owners of Event Horizon Media. Kevin is a talented photographer with a natural ability to capture an amazing, split-second moment on camera, whether it’s an incredible catch, the fleeting expression of a young child, or a skittish wild animal. This skill lends itself to capturing beautiful, authentic photos that reflect the emotion and passion in the eyes of every subject.
Allison is a marketing manager with 14 years of industry experience. She brings creativity and an eye for detail and posing to our photo sessions, as well as expertise in writing and content creation for small businesses looking to outsource their social media management.
We strive to create a welcoming environment in which every client feels comfortable and confident to be themselves, so you won’t feel like a stranger is taking your photo.
From the moment we meet, you’ll be a friend and a part of the team. Every person, pet, event, and product is unique, so we don’t have a cookie-cutter approach to our photo sessions. If you have something specific in mind, we want to know! Throughout the session, Kevin will check in to make sure you’re happy with the direction.

Event Horizon Media
Kevin’s passion and talent for photography grew alongside his love of space and astrophotography, so when it came to naming our brand, we wanted to include a nod to the cosmos.
Much like gravity bends light as it enters a black hole at the event horizon, a good photographer manipulates light to capture the beauty of a single moment. And just like the event horizon is the only visible way for us to perceive a black hole, we hope our photos become bright mementos of your life’s most precious moments past.
